Eyebrow surgical correction
Depending on what your wishes are and what you have agreed with the surgeon, this procedure can be performed under local or general anesthesia. There are a number of ways to achieve the desired effect with surgery:
- The surgeon may choose to remove skin above the eyebrows or at the hairline of the temples. With this procedure, you can go home after only a few hours.
- It is also possible to have an endoscopic brow elevator performed. This is a major procedure under full anesthesia that requires you to stay at the clinic for up to two days. Recovery takes about 4 to 6 weeks. Ask the surgeon about the pros and cons.
- You can also opt for a combination with an eyelid correction. Then the eyebrow can be lifted with an internal elevator through a subcutaneous suture.
