Our muscle relaxant treatments are designed to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, giving you a refreshed and youthful look.

Wrinkles

Wrinkles

When injected in tiny doses, it blocks nerve signals to those muscles, smoothing moderate to severe wrinkles such as crow’s feet, frown lines between the brows, and horizontal forehead creases. Results typically appear within 3–7 days and the treatment requires no downtime, making it the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure worldwide for a refreshed, less tired appearance without changing your natural expressions.

Migraine

Migraine

Suffering from migraines? We offer a solution through muscle relaxant injections, which has proven to be an effective treatment for headaches and migraines. This procedure relaxes the muscles around the head, neck and shoulders, which reduces pressure on nerves and blood vessels. This provides immediate relief and can reduce the frequency and intensity of future migraine attacks.

Excessive Sweating

Excessive Sweating

Muscle relaxants are a common treatment plan for excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis. These injections work by temporarily blocking the nerve signals that activate sweat glands, significantly reducing the amount of sweat produced. It is a safe and proven method that has been shown to provide relief for many.

Teeth Grinding

Teeth Grinding

Muscle relaxants ease tension in the jaw muscles, which reduces teeth grinding. This prevents chipping or weakening the teeth through excessive pressure. Through these effects, it also reduces pain in the jaw and surrounding areas. Aside from aesthetic purposes, the treatment offers various quality-of-life related improvements: this includes improved sleep quality and lessened discomfort from overworked jaw muscles.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about Muscle Relaxants

Aftercare for a muscle relaxants treatment

After the muscle relaxing injections, there are a few aspects you should keep in mind:

  • Use a good UV protective cream on your face (at least SPF 30).
  • Preferably do not take aspirin or other medications that affect clotting. These increase the risk of developing bruising and discoloration of the skin. Note: Do not schedule your treatment during your menstrual week. The pigments may also not pack.
  • You mustn’t touch the treated area for at least 4 hours. So do not massage or rub. This can push the substance into other muscles, and it will work there too, resulting in asymmetry or a drooping eyelid.
  • Do not lie down or bend over for the first few hours after the treatment.
  • Make-up and cream may only be used one hour after the treatment. Again, avoid pressure or massage of the treated area.
What is the expected result after a muscle relaxants treatment?

A few days after the treatment, the muscle relaxant will start to work, and muscle activity will decrease. Wrinkles continue to diminish until about 2 weeks after treatment. After two weeks, the effect on the muscle is optimal.

The effect of the treatment remains visible for an average of 3-7 months. Experience shows that after several treatments, the effect will last longer. Most people require a temporary muscle relaxing treatment every 3-4 months to maintain the desired result.

On average, 90% of patients achieve a substantial reduction in wrinkles, but of course, there are differences between patients’ responses. The treatment results may be disappointing for a tiny percentage.

Please note: if you previously had a muscle relaxant treatment and switch brands, the result may last less long as your body sees another brand as a new substance.

The second time, the effect will last longer again. Unfortunately, it is not possible to estimate in advance how long the effect will actually

last.

What are the benefits of temporary muscle relaxants?
  • It really works

This treatment has been proven highly effective and delivers astonishing results, practically making patients feel years younger. In addition, there are millions of clients happy with their results.

  • The treatment is quick and almost painless.

The procedure is very fast; it takes between 20 and 30 minutes, including initial consultation and preparation. The injecting process itself only takes 5-10 minutes. The needles that are used for injecting are tiny, and don’t hit any nerves. Mostly, patients feel little stings where the injections take place. Once the procedure is complete, patients don’t feel pain.

  • There is no recovery time.

In most cases, there is no downtime. Some patients may have tiny bruises on the places where the needle hit the skin, but they will disappear in just a few days. Avoid heavy exercise the day of injection and wait 2 weeks before having your next facial.

  • The results come fast.

You will see the results of the muscle relaxant – i.e., your smooth, wrinkle-free skin – within 2-7 days, but the full result will take 2 weeks.

  • The results are not permanent.

You can decide whether you want to continue doing the treatment or you would instead go the way things were. If you don’t love your results, you can let the substance wear off in several months, and you will look like you never had anything done.

  • There are hardly any risks.

Temporary muscle relaxant is a relatively low-risk treatment. It has been researched thoroughly, and most of its risks exist when the patient is not in good health or the injector needs to be a professional. Sometimes unlicensed injectors use rip-offs of the substance that can cause harm. Avoid these risks by going to a clinic that is known for its good practice.

  • And finally…

Finally, the benefits of temporary muscle relaxants are not only aesthetic. As said before, it can also reduce excessive sweating of armpits and feet, relax chronic muscle pain, and help with migraine relief. For patients who grind their teeth during the night, this treatment can also be the solution.

What are the risks of a temporary muscle relaxing treatment?
  • The effects of this treatment are not permanent.

For some, a pro, and for others, a con: the muscle relaxing injections are not a permanent solution. It wears off after several months. Usually, you must repeat the treatment at least twice a year to maintain good results, that is, a wrinkle-free look.

  • Temporary muscle relaxants could trigger allergic reactions.

As with any other medicine, it can trigger specific allergic reactions. Should this happen, receiving a counter-treatment from a medical doctor is essential. However, if the response is treated immediately, it is most likely not to leave any consequences.

  • Some facial expressions might be (temporarily) lost.

The trick with the main feature of this substance, its ability to paralyze muscles, is that it can warrant results you may not like, in addition to erasing wrinkles. When improperly injected, it may cause the appearance of a constantly frowned or surprised look or prevent squinting. It can lead to a lack of proper facial expression. That’s why always choose an experienced and licensed aesthetic doctor and a reputable clinic is so important.

  • The treatments don’t come cheap.

Paying for muscle relaxants several times a year is relatively expensive. We have a VIP club for our members, though, that ensures discounts for our regular patients.

  • Sometimes it needs more than one visit.

Sometimes patients don’t get excellent results after their first treatment but need to return. However, this rarely happens with experienced injectors who are experienced with the treatment and your face.

  • There can be side effects.

Most side effects are mild and don’t cause any significant discomfort, such as bruising, swelling at the injection site, or some light headaches. But some major issues can occur in a tiny percentage of patients, such as neck pain, upper respiratory tract infection, nausea, minor loss of speech, and eyelid drooping. Should this happen to you, make sure to consult with your physician immediately.

Muscle Relaxants Treatments Details

Wrinkles
Muscle relaxant injections are a way to reduce wrinkles and improve the appearance of our face in a natural way. They relax the facial muscles that cause the dynamic wrinkles in your forehead and around your eyes. Do you often hear that you look angry or tired? Also then, this treatment can be a solution.
Migraine
Migraine is a taxing chronic condition that often interferes with your daily activities. A throbbing or stabbing headache may be experienced during a migraine attack. If you have migraines more than 15 days a month, temporary muscle relaxants can help reduce the frequency of headaches.
Excessive Sweating
Excessive sweating can be uncomfortable and bothersome in everyday life. Excessive sweating occurs when sweat occurs when the temperature is not high, and you are relaxed and not exercising. After the treatment, you can immediately continue with the day. You will notice a decrease in sweat in the treated areas a few days after the treatment.
Teeth Grinding
Teeth grinding often happens while sleeping or unconsciously during stressful periods. This can cause tooth wear, a sore and swollen muscle and chronic pain. The teeth can also feel sensitive. The muscle tension in the jaws is then overactive. Treatment with temporary muscle relaxants can help with teeth grinding.
