What are the ingredients of the filler product?
The product consists of microparticle beads of poly-L-lactic acid, a biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic polymer. At Essential Aesthetics, this particular filler treatment is performed exclusively by a certified plastic surgeon.
Who can undergo buttock filler treatment?
Our experts advise against undergoing the treatment if:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You are allergic or hypersensitive to the product’s ingredients, lidocaine, or other local anesthetics of this type.
- You suffer from skin inflammation (skin rashes such as cysts, pimples, rashes, or hives), infection or tumors in or near the treatment area.
What are collagen biostimulators?
Lanluma is an injectable PLLA collagen stimulator for non-surgical buttock augmentation and body contouring. It works gradually to boost your own collagen, increasing volume and improving skin quality for over two years. You might be familiar with these types of injectables from Sculptra - however, Lanluma contains 30% more PLLA per vial, making it more potent for larger body areas like the buttocks, whereas Sculptra is typically used for the face. This means Lanluma often requires fewer sessions to achieve longer-lasting, noticeable results.
When can I do touch-ups for increased volume?
Touch-up treatments for additional volume can typically be performed 3 months after your previous session. However, because these injectables stimulates collagen gradually, final results from each session may take up to 6 months to fully appear. We may recommend waiting longer (e.g., 3–6 months) to assess the full effect before deciding on a touch-up.
How can I maintain my results for buttock augmentation?
To enhance and prolong the results of Lanluma, we combine it with advanced collagen-boosting energy devices - making our clinic the only one in South Holland to offer such powerful combination treatments. How much filler do I need?
How many of the product is injected depends on your wishes. In general, noticeable results are achieved with a minimum of 50cc per side if you want to give your buttocks more firmness and volume. Less of the product could be used for slight imperfections or bents in this area.
How long does the result last?
The aesthetic improvement usually lasts up to 3 years. The gel breaks down slowly in the body. Each body is different, and therefore the results differ case by case.
To maintain the desired aesthetic effect, it can be necessary to do a touch-up treatment after 9 to 12 months. Smaller amounts of gel are then needed to obtain the desired result. If you want to have a permanent option, you can choose to have implants. Are there any known side effects?
As with any aesthetic treatment, there are risks associated with this treatment. However, this treatment is not recommended for pregnant women and people who are allergic to the ingredients.

Side effects include, but are not limited to, flushing or redness of the skin, itchy skin, redness or purple pimples, and unusually warm skin.
Less common side effects include but are not limited to bruising, bleeding, burning, swelling, pain, or an allergic reaction.
How long do glute fillers last?
The longevity of glute fillers can vary depending on several factors, including the type of filler used, individual metabolism, and lifestyle. Generally, the effect last over 2 years. After this period, you may need touch-up sessions to maintain the results.
Can fillers be used on buttocks?
Yes, fillers can be used on the buttocks to enhance their appearance. This is a non-surgical alternative to traditional butt augmentation procedures like implants or fat transfer.
